# Applying for an account

> How to sign up and apply to start accepting payments with Dime.

Applying takes a few minutes and happens entirely online.

1. Go to [app.dimepayments.com/signup](https://app.dimepayments.com/signup) and create your login
2. Once you're signed in, click **Apply**
3. Fill out the application and submit it

## What to have handy

You'll move faster with these in front of you:

* Your organization's legal name, address, and EIN
* Contact details for the owner or an officer
* The bank account where you want deposits sent

## After you apply

We'll review your application and let you know by email once you're approved or if we need anything else. Once you're approved, you can start accepting payments from your dashboard.

## Tips

* Use the organization's legal name exactly as it appears on your tax documents
